Hyderabad Police Introduce AI Copywriter App
The AI Copywriter app was launched at TGICCC located in Banjara Hills by Hyderabad CP VC Sajjanar, IPS.
Officials reviewed the functioning of the app during the launch event.
The app has been introduced to ensure that victims visiting police stations do not face language-related difficulties while filing complaints.
According to police officials, this is the first AI-based multilingual complaint recording system introduced in India.
AI App to Be Available in Over 80 Police Stations
The app will soon be made available in more than 80 police stations in Hyderabad city.
Through this application, victims can speak in their native language, and police can instantly record and translate the complaint into a language understandable to officials.
Police said the app will particularly help migrant workers and tourists from other states who do not know Telugu or English and face problems while filing complaints in Hyderabad.
Officials stated that language barriers often result in delays in FIR registration and incorrect recording of information, and this app is expected to solve those issues.
AI Copywriter App Supports More Than 10 Indian Languages
The AI Copywriter app can identify and process more than 10 major Indian languages, including Hindi, Tamil, Bengali, and Marathi.
If a person speaks in any of these languages, the app instantly converts speech into written text and translates it into a language understandable to police personnel.
The app was developed by BlueCloud SoftTech Solutions in collaboration with intern Pagro Chandu and the Hyderabad City Police.
Key Features of AI Copywriter App
Multilingual Support
The app supports more than 10 Indian languages and instantly converts spoken complaints into written and translated records.
Speed and Accuracy
Police said complaint registration, which earlier took several hours, can now be completed within seconds.
There will be no need to wait for translators.
Transparency in Complaint Recording
Details such as the name of the officer recording the complaint and the time of recording are automatically stored in PDF format.
Officials said this prevents tampering of records.
Multi-Party Labeling
The app can separately identify and record statements made by victims, accused persons, and witnesses.
VC Sajjanar Highlights Importance of AI in Policing
Speaking during the launch, VC Sajjanar said introducing the AI-based multilingual complaint recorder for the first time in India is a matter of pride.
He said:
“Hyderabad is a global city where many migrants from other states and foreigners who do not know Telugu or English live. Due to language barriers, delays happen in filing complaints or information gets recorded incorrectly. This app will put a check on such problems.”
He further stated:
“If the victim speaks in their mother tongue, the app instantly recognizes it, translates it, and converts it into an official record. Information gets updated every 5 seconds after the person speaks.”
According to him, the technology will improve confidence in police services among migrant workers, women, and elderly people.
He added that recording every statement exactly as spoken by victims will improve the quality of investigations and increase the chances of punishment for accused persons.
The Hyderabad CP also said the app will reduce typing burden on police officers and maintain uniformity in record management.
Hyderabad Police Aim for Smart Policing
VC Sajjanar expressed hope that AI Copywriter would begin a new chapter in modern policing by ensuring that language never becomes a barrier to justice.
