Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy Targets KTR Over Indiramma Housing Scheme, Says Telangana Building 4.5 Lakh Houses
Telangana Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy attacked KTR and BRS over the Indiramma housing scheme, saying 4.5 lakh houses are under construction in the state.

Hyderabad: Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy launched a sharp attack on K T Rama Rao and the Bharat Rashtra Samithi over the Indiramma housing scheme. The Telangana Minister for Revenue and Housing, Information and Public Relations stated that the state government has already started construction of 4.5 lakh Indiramma houses within the first two-and-a-half years of coming to power and announced that another 2.5 lakh houses will be launched on June 1 under the leadership of Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy.

Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy Attacks KTR Over Indiramma Remarks
Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy alleged that people who allegedly tapped the phones of their own sister and brother-in-law do not have the right to even utter the name of Indiramma.
The minister questioned KTR’s criticism of the Congress government’s housing programme and said:
“If you go to villages and ask families who received Indiramma houses, they will tell you what Indiramma governance means.”
He also targeted former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao and remarked:
“What will you know if you stay in farmhouses?”
Telangana Government Building 4.5 Lakh Indiramma Houses
The minister stated that the Telangana government has taken up construction of 4.5 lakh Indiramma houses within the first two-and-a-half years after coming to power.
He announced that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy will launch construction works for another 2.5 lakh Indiramma houses on June 1.
According to Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy, the Cabinet meeting held on May 23 also decided to construct one lakh Indiramma houses in three corporations within Hyderabad limits.
Minister Says Public Ready to Give BRS ‘VRS’
Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy also reacted to KTR’s statements regarding political retirement.
The minister said:
“People defeated you in the Assembly elections, gave you zero seats in the Lok Sabha elections, and defeated you even in the sitting seats of Cantonment and Jubilee Hills.”
He further claimed that people are prepared to give “VRS” to the BRS party in the coming elections and added that KTR need not separately announce political retirement.
Congress Challenges BRS Over Housing Schemes
The Telangana minister stated that the Congress party would seek votes in villages where Indiramma houses exist, while BRS should seek votes in villages where double-bedroom houses were constructed.
He ended the statement by directly challenging KTR and asking whether he was ready for the challenge.
