HEH Nizam Museum Launches Special ‘Karbala’ Exhibition in Hyderabad, Open to Public till June 22

HEH Nizam Museum in Purani Haveli, Hyderabad, has launched a special Karbala exhibition inaugurated by MLC Mirza Riyaz ul Hassan Effendi. The exhibition features rare images of Karbala and Mashhad, Muharram traditions, Bibi Ka Alam and Asaf Jahi heritage. Open from June 15 to June 22, 2026.

A unique exhibition titled “Karbala ke Mashahid, Shohada aur Muharram ki Riwayat” (Scenes of Karbala, Martyrs and Muharram Traditions) was inaugurated at the famous HEH Nizam Museum, Purani Haveli, in Hyderabad on Monday. The exhibition was formally opened by MLC Mirza Riyaz ul Hassan Effendi and showcases rare images of Karbala and Mashhad along with the rich Muharram traditions of the Deccan region. The exhibition will remain open to the public from June 15 to June 22, 2026.

The special exhibition began at HEH Nizam Museum, Purani Haveli, Hyderabad, with the formal inauguration by MLC Mirza Riyaz ul Hassan Effendi.

Organized under the theme “Karbala ke Mashahid, Shohada aur Muharram ki Riwayat,” the exhibition presents visitors with a rare opportunity to explore the history, heritage and spiritual significance associated with Karbala and Muharram traditions.

Rare Images of Karbala and Mashhad on Display

One of the major attractions of the exhibition is the display of rare photographs of the holy shrines of Karbala Mualla and Mashhad, Iran. The exhibition also highlights the architectural beauty of these sacred sites through carefully curated visual presentations.
