Ahead of PM visit, ‘Bye Bye Modi’ in Telangana

Officials quickly removed the anti-Modi hoardings at Begumpet in the city. Similar flexis were also seen in Mancherial district.

Hyderabad: Hoardings with “Bye Bye Modi” messages have come up in and around Hyderabad city ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit here to attend the National Executive meeting of the BJP on July 2 and 3.

Officials quickly removed the anti-Modi hoardings at Begumpet in the city. Similar flexis were also seen in Mancherial district.

Modi will arrive by a special flight on July 2 and address a public meeting at Parade Grounds on July 3 evening.

He will stay at Raj Bhavan, according to party sources here.

At least 5,000 police personnel will be deployed as part of the security for Modi’s visit.

The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation’s Central Enforcement cell has fined BJP leaders for unauthorized flex boards and banners featuring the Prime Minister and BJP National president J P Nadda across the city in the last two days.

The fines ranged from Rs 5,000 to Rs one lakh.
