All about Yaum-e-Ashura

Yaum-e-Ashura is one of the major commemorative events observed by Muslims around the globe. Muharram is the first month of the Islamic calendar. It is one of the four sacred months of the Islamic lunar calendar. Martyrdom of Imam Hussain is a shining example in oppressive times. There were many glorious examples of people who followed his footsteps. Imam Abu Hanifa, Imam Malik, Imam Ibne Tayimah, Syed Qutb Shaheed and many, who refuted to obey the corrupt regimes of the followers of Yazids. Following the footsteps of Imam Hussain we should also refuse to obey the corrupt dictatorial regimes and instead chose to die as martyrs.
