After the film ‘The Kerala Story’, another attempt has been made to hurt the sentiments of Muslims by making yet another controversial film ‘Farhana’. The film’s trailer shows a burqa-clad woman involved in a sex chat from a call center.
The gist of the story is that Farhana is a young married Muslim woman who defies her conservative father and starts working in a call center to support her family. She was transferred to a new department in her office with better benefits until she realized that she has been brought into a phone sex chat industry.
She is shocked and distressed to do such a thing but eventually prefers to work because of her financial situation at home. There she strikes up an unlikely friendship with one of the call center workers and gradually develops a bond with those who are willing to spend time with her.
