Hyderabad: A 43-year-old army man allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself with his service weapon at Army Quarters here in the early hours of Wednesday.
The deceased identified as Rajendra Singh was a native of Punjab. He reported for duty few days ago and was staying at the Army Quarters, Police said.
He shot himself with his service weapon in the head and collapsed on the ground. The body was shifted to Osmania General Hospital here.
A case was registered and the reason behind taking the extreme step by him is being ascertained, police added.
