Hyderabad: The 3rd National FinSwimming Championship, held at the Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex in Pune from September 3rd to 5th, 2023, witnessed thrilling performances by athletes from across India.

Organized by the Underwater Sports Federation of India, the event showcased remarkable achievements in the world of fin swimming.

Day 1 & Day 2 & Day 3: Telangana Swimmers Shine

Telangana swimmers displayed outstanding prowess, clinching numerous medals throughout the championship. Here’s a summary of their performances:

Sunny: 3 Gold, 1 Bronze

Arjun: 3 Gold, 1 Silver

Bhuvas: 4 Gold

Tanmay: 1 Gold, 3 Silver

Siddharth: 2 Gold

Goutham: 1 Gold, 2 Silver

Sachin: 1 Silver, 1 Bronze

Sivakumari: 1 Gold

Likitha: 1 Gold, 3 Silver

Arjun Kandoi set 1 National meet record.

Bhuvas Pathuri achieved 3 National meet records (50m surface, 50m Apnea, 100m surface).

Bhuvas Pathuri was named the best swimmer in the Boys Group C category and achieved the fastest time recorded in India in the 50-meter Apnea event with a time of 19.05 seconds.

Ashwath Ayyalasomayajula of Gachibowli Stadium, Sports Authority Of Telangana, representing Telangana State, secured the Individual Championship Trophy with 3 Golds and 2 Silver medals.

Overall Championship Standings:

Bengal secured the first place with 443 points.

Kerala followed closely in second place with 175 points.

Telangana State claimed the third position overall with 158 points.

The 3rd National FinSwimming Championship showcased the remarkable talents of Indian swimmers, with Telangana’s athletes shining brightly. Bengal emerged as the dominant force in the competition, but the entire event was a testament to the dedication and excellence of fin swimmers from across the nation.
