Biryani Dispute Turns Violent: Hyderabad’s Grand Hotel Staff Assaults Family, Raja Singh Demands Action; Caught on Video

Hyderabad: A dispute over the quality of biryani escalated into a violent altercation as hotel staff reportedly attacked customers, resulting in injuries.

After receiving the biryani, they complained that it was not prepared up to the expected standard. Unsatisfied customers insisted on paying only half the bill, sparking an argument with the hotel manager.
The disagreement intensified, leading to a physical altercation, with hotel staff, including waiters and waitresses, allegedly assaulting the customers with pipes and other objects.
As a result of the altercation, several customers, including two women, sustained injuries. Upon receiving information, the Abids police promptly arrived at the scene, apprehending two individuals in connection with the incident.
Goshamahal MLA Raja Singh, reacting to the incident, spoke to the Abids police inspector, urging the filing of an FIR against the restaurant staff and owners. Singh further threatened to set the restaurant ablaze if the waiters and owners were not promptly arrested.
The Hyderabad police have registered a case against the restaurant under sections 324, 504, and 509 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Simultaneously, the restaurant management filed a counter-complaint, and the police are currently conducting an investigation into the entire incident.
