The Group 2 examination has been postponed following Chief Minister Chandrasekhar Rao’s directive to Chief Secretary Shanti Kumari to determine a new date. This decision aims to prevent candidates from facing difficulties with overlapping exams.
Initially, the Telangana Public Service Commission had scheduled the Group 2 examination for August 29 and 30, intending to fill over 700 positions. Despite completing preparations, many candidates couldn’t participate due to consecutive exams this month, leading to demands for postponement. Protests and sit-ins were organized in response.
In response to the appeals of Group 2 aspirants, Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao instructed Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari to collaborate with the Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) and reschedule the Group 2 examination. Consequently, the Chief Minister decided to postpone the Group 2 exam, with the new date set to be announced soon.
Additionally, the Chief Minister emphasized staggered recruitment notifications in the future, ensuring aspirants have adequate time to prepare for eligible exams. Industries Minister and BRS working president KT Rama Rao endorsed this decision, highlighting that the Chief Minister’s directive aims to avoid inconvenience for countless aspirants. The Minister also echoed the need for proper staggering of recruitment notifications to facilitate thorough preparation.
