Hyderabad: Telangana Governor Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan said on Friday that her government will implement each and every promise made during the recent elections to the youth.
“My government will fill up the teachers’ post by conducting a mega DSC within six months,” Dr Tamilisai said while addressing the members of both Houses of Legislature assembled in the Assembly Hall here.
We are happy to inform you that the government has already begun the exercise to clean up the Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC), she said.
Our government will take steps to fill up 2 lakh vacancies within one year, she added.
It may be mentioned here that TSPSC Chairman B. Janardhan Reddy recently resigned from the post of Chairman and his resignation to the Governor, who has yet to accept his resignation.
TSPSC members Bandi Linga Reddy, R Satyanarayana, K Aruna Kumari, Sumitra Anand, and K Ravindra Reddy have also resigned.
According to sources, after the leakage of TSPSC Group-I examination papers, the governor had earlier written to the President of India seeking permission to sack the TSPSC board.
To bring reforms to the TSPSC and hold recruitment examinations transparently, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, who conducted a review meeting with the officials recently, asked officials to study the functioning of PSCs in other states as well as the UPSC.
