In a strange incident that happened in the state of Bihar, a bride refused to marry just before the wedding saying that the groom is dark and he is also much older than her.
A girl named Kattu Kumari was going to get married in Kehalgaon area of Bhagalpur state of Bihar. All the wedding preparations were complete, the cards were distributed, the mandap was decorated and all the baraatis reached the wedding venue.
Only thing that was left to be done was bride and groom to wear the varmala, when suddenly the bride shocked everyone by announcing her decision.
The bride refused to marry the groom saying that the groom is dark and looks much older than her.
When the groom reached the wedding hall, the bride’s face changed as soon as she saw the groom. The families of the bride and the groom tried to convince the girl for the marriage, but failed. The bride threatened to commit suicide if pressurised for the marriage,. Thus the marriage ceremony was canceled.
Hearing this, the groom took the baraat back with his family members.
