Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh: A heartbreaking accident occurred in the Barra 7 area of Kanpur on September 10, resulting in the tragic death of a three-year-old girl. The incident was captured on CCTV and has since gone viral on social media.

The young girl was playing outside her home when she was struck by a car driven by a neighbor. According to the CCTV footage, the toddler was sitting on the road when the car approached.

She stood up as the vehicle neared, but the car hit her before she could move out of the way. The driver did not stop after the collision, and the car continued to run over the child, resulting in her immediate death.

The girl’s family, who have lived in the Barra 7 area for the past ten years, was inside their home when the accident occurred. They were devastated to find their child lying motionless on the road, covered in blood. The girl’s father, Rohit Singh, expressed his anguish, stating, “He hit my child with his car and drove away. He should have taken her to a hospital for humanity’s sake.”

Authorities arrived at the scene, and a crowd had gathered as the police began their investigation. The car and its driver have been missing since the accident. The police have filed a report and initiated legal action against the driver. Naubasta Assistant Police Commissioner Manjay Singh confirmed that the car has been identified with the help of CCTV footage and that the body has been sent to the mortuary for an autopsy.

This tragic event follows a similar incident earlier this year in Noida, where a one-year-old girl was critically injured by a car while playing outside her house.

The community is in shock, and the family is seeking justice for their loss as the investigation continues.
