CM Revanth Reddy Invites Amazon to Invest ₹1 Lakh Crore in Telangana by 2034, Seeks Major Expansion at Bharat Future City

Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has urged Amazon, one of the world’s largest technology companies, to expand its operations in the state and invest ₹1 lakh crore by 2034.

Addressing the groundbreaking ceremony of Amazon’s Data Center in Hyderabad, the Chief Minister said the company’s expansion would accelerate investments in Bharat Future City and trigger rapid industrial growth.
He said Amazon’s expansion would also encourage many other companies and industries to establish operations in the upcoming Future City.
Telangana Rising Vision and Investment Goals
Revanth Reddy said the Telangana government organised the Telangana Rising Global Summit in December 2025, which was attended by 3,000 corporate representatives from major companies across 108 countries at Future City.
He said the objective of Telangana Rising-2047 is to transform Telangana into a $1 trillion economy by 2034 and a $3 trillion economy by 2047.
The Chief Minister stressed that job creation is equally important to achieving these investment goals.
“We are ready to provide all necessary infrastructure, facilities and clearances for setting up industries,” he said.
Revanth Reddy added that the government conducts comprehensive monthly reviews on industrial projects and announced that a special monthly meeting would also be held to monitor Amazon’s investments in Telangana.
Telangana Rising Policy and Hyderabad’s Development
The Chief Minister said the Telangana Rising policy was introduced to make Telangana a model state for development through dedicated policies covering:
- Industry
- Tourism
- Energy
- Health
- Sports
He said Hyderabad has become a global role model with the Outer Ring Road, IT companies, pharmaceutical companies and an international airport.
According to him, 1.34 crore people now live within the Outer Ring Road area, making job creation and pollution control equally important.
He also highlighted the government’s plans to:
- Relocate industries located within the city.
- Rejuvenate the Musi River.
- Expand the Metro rail network.
Electric Mobility Plans
To make Hyderabad a pollution-free city, Revanth Reddy announced that the government has prepared plans to:
- Convert 3 lakh RTC buses into electric buses.
- Transform 2 lakh diesel-run auto-rickshaws into electric vehicles through retrofitting.
- Waive registration taxes for electric vehicles despite an annual revenue loss of ₹1,500 crore.
He said these proactive measures are intended to prevent pollution-related problems faced by other cities across the country.
Appreciation for Farmers
The Chief Minister appreciated farmers for cooperating in land acquisition for the Regional Ring Road and radial roads.
He said officials have been instructed to resolve minor issues and provide adequate compensation.
“The government has the responsibility of honouring the farmers who contributed to development by giving their lands,” he said.
Revanth Reddy also directed IT and Industry Minister Sridhar Babu and former MLA K. Laxma Reddy to hold discussions with protesting farmers and ensure fair compensation as well as employment opportunities for families who lost their land.
