Hyderabad: BRS party working President KT Rama Rao today said the Congress government was doing evil politics by forgetting its responsibility on Kaleshwaram project.
“We have undertaken the ‘Chalo Medigadda’ tour to explain the greatness of Kaleswaram to the people see that the crops do not dry up and to see that people’s throats are not thirsty during the ongoing summer season,” he said and alleged that the Congress party was trying to turn Telangana into a desert once again.
Speaking to media persons along with Banswada MLA Pocharam Srinivas Reddy at Telangana Bhavan here before his visit to BRS party’s Chalo Medigadda. He said the Congress leaders should not show their anger towards the farmers.
He demanded that water should be supplied to the drying crops immediately and farmers should be helped. He also said it was not the interest of the farmer, but the political interest of the Congress party.
“We will visit all the projects after our visit today,” he declared. He also questioned the government as to why it was difficult to carry out repairs.
He asked the government to take action against those who are responsible for the collapse of the Medigadda barrage and added that the farmers’ interests should not be sacrificed.
