Covid cases increasing in Telangana; hospitals preparing to deal any situation

Hyderabad: Coronavirus cases are on the rise in Telangana. The number of daily positives, which were recorded in the tens earlier this month, has now reached 500. From June 1, 4280 cases were reported till yesterday.
The Medical department has reported to the government that the spread rate has been increasing since 20 days in 20 districts. The positive level was 0.59% on the 1st of this month and had reached 1.69 per cent.
The number of active cases has crossed 3 thousand. Is this a sign of the fourth wave, suspicions are being expressed that the number of victims likely to increase in future. Medical experts say there is no need to worry.
All of the positives currently being reported are due to the fact that the Omicron sub variants are BA2.1, BA4, and BA5. It is being clarified that the fourth wave will come if there is any new variant. 90 per cent of the cases that are registered come from Hyderabad, Ranga Reddy and Medchal-Malkajgiri districts.
According to the department of Medical Health and Family Welfare, there are currently 40 people admitted to hospitals with Covid, most of them are suffering from chronic diseases. Health concerns, on the other hand it is not severe as going to the ICU or ventilator. Deaths are nill.
Gandhi Hospital has only six patients, their health is stable. Tests should be performed immediately if symptoms appear. Consult a doctor if fatigue or oxygen levels drops after being found to be positive. People suffering from chronic diseases should wear masks, says Dr. Raja Rao, Superintendent of Gandhi Hospital.
The Director of Medical and Health was alerted, tests and surveillance increased, awareness on test, track, treatment, vaccination as well as Covid rules. “We are preparing hospitals to deal with any situation that may arise. Medications are made available. Seasonal diseases and Covid symptoms are the same. Those with symptoms should undergo tests immediately. All children in the age group of 12-17 years of age must be vaccinated, said Director of Public Health Dr. Gadala Srinivasa Rao.
At present Covid patients do not appear to have the severity to go to the ICU. Antibiotics are also not used. Cocktail injections, such as remdesivir, do not appear to be necessary. Those who do not take even a single dose of the vaccine should be vigilant. Remdisivir injection should be taken if the patient is positive and the symptoms are severe.
