Dastaan “Partition of India” Staged at MANUU for Azad Day Celebrations

The University Drama Club of MANUU presented Dastaan “Taqseem-e-Hind” (Partition of India). MANUU Students from Department of Mass Communication & Journalism.

Hyderabad: Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU), as part of Azad Day Celebrations yesterday evening staged Dastaangoi (Story telling) programme at open air theatre.

The University Drama Club of MANUU presented Dastaan “Taqseem-e-Hind” (Partition of India). MANUU Students from Department of Mass Communication & Journalism, Syed Mazharuddin and Misbah Zafar rendered an enthralling performance which lift the audiences spell bound.

Mahmood Farooqui was the writer and Mr. Meraj Ahmad, Assistant Professor, MCJ & coordinator programme was the director of the Dastaan. The story narrated by the two artists in the form of conversation, encapsuled the tragedy of partition of India in a satiric tone.

The set designing of stage done by Sufiyan, student of BVOc, Costume & Properties by Habib Ahmad, CUCS, Production by Zameer Hasan, Anchoring by Musheera, Diction by Firoz Alam.
