Dengue Fever is Included in Aarogyasri: Harish Rao

He said orders will be issued to all private hospitals to offer the dengue fever treatment free of cost to all Aarogyasri card holders  in their hospitals. 

Hyderabad: State Finance Minister T. Harish Rao today said that they had included dengue fever in the list that permissible diseases of Aarogyasri scheme. He said that they would issue orders to all private network hospitals to offer the dengue fever treatment free of cost to all Aarogyasri card holders  in their hospitals.  He made these remarks while replying to questions on the issue of the spread of flys and mosquitoes in the state capital.

 Speaking on the occasion, Rao said that the intensity of the dengue fever had come down in Telangana  now when compared to the statistics of 2018-19. He said that the state had not recorded many cases of the dengue fever in the year 2020 as most of the people of Telangana did not venture out of their houses. Revealing the official figures of the dengue fever, he said that the state had recorded 6362 dengue fever cases in the year 2018, 13361 cases in the year 2019 and 4694 cases so far  in the current year .

He said that they would take up joint measures to prevent the spread of the mosquitoes in the state capital. He said that they had issued orders for the appointment of ad hoc staff on temporary basis to prevent staff shortage problems in the government hospitals of the state.
