Desecration of the Holy Quran: OIC to hold meeting on July 31

The OIC Council of Foreign Ministers has convened an emergency session to address the issue of incidents involving the desecration of the Holy Quran. A significant meeting will be held virtually on July 31 at the OIC Secretariat in Jeddah, with the participation of all foreign ministers from OIC member countries.

Among the attendees, Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will be delivering a speech during the session. The OIC Secretariat sources revealed that a robust resolution concerning the matter will be adopted by the Foreign Ministers.

Notably, the invitation to Foreign Minister Bilawal was extended by OIC Secretary General, Hissein Brahim Taha, via a telephone call. The urgency of this communication arises from the repeated incidents of the desecration of the Holy Quran in Sweden and other European countries.
