Drunk Father’s Brutal Attack Turns Fatal: 4-Year-Old Son Dies After Four-Day Fight for Life
The incident has also renewed concerns over crimes allegedly linked to substance abuse in Hyderabad. Residents have called for stronger measures to prevent drug and alcohol-related violence and for effective intervention when families are at risk.

Hyderabad: A heartbreaking incident in Hyderabad has left a family devastated after a four-year-old boy, who was allegedly brutally assaulted by his father, died after battling for his life for four days.
The incident reportedly took place on August 5 following a family dispute. The child, identified as four-year-old Syed Arman, was allegedly assaulted by his 25-year-old father, Syed Salman, who was reportedly under the influence of alcohol or drugs at the time.
According to the information available, Salman allegedly took the child near a pillar of the PVNR Expressway in the Gudi Malkapur area, where he attacked the boy on the head and then allegedly threw him to the ground. The child sustained severe injuries and was rushed to hospital for treatment.
Arman remained under medical care for the next four days, but despite the efforts of doctors, the little boy succumbed to his injuries today.
According to local residents, an argument had reportedly taken place between the husband and wife before the incident. The accused’s mother told the media that Salman had allegedly assaulted his wife and child on the evening of August 4 as well. She alleged that the following morning, after reaching Gudi Malkapur with his wife and son, Salman again subjected the child to severe physical assault.
The tragic death of the four-year-old has raised serious concerns about domestic violence, substance abuse and the safety of children within families. The accused’s mother has appealed for justice and sought strict action against those responsible.
This is more than just a heartbreaking crime—it is a painful reminder of how destructive addiction and uncontrolled anger can become. For a parent, even a minor injury to their child can be unbearable. A father is expected to protect his child, comfort him and stand by him in times of danger. But in this shocking case, allegations suggest that addiction and rage turned a father into the person who caused fatal injuries to his own innocent child.
The incident has also renewed concerns over crimes allegedly linked to substance abuse in Hyderabad. Residents have called for stronger measures to prevent drug and alcohol-related violence and for effective intervention when families are at risk.
Authorities and society must work together to ensure that people struggling with addiction receive appropriate intervention while strict action is taken against violence, particularly when children are involved.
The death of little Arman has left his family shattered and raises a deeply disturbing question: How many more innocent lives must be lost before the dangers of addiction, domestic violence and uncontrolled aggression are taken seriously?
