A video has gone viral on social media in which a woman is seen possessing a 315 bore pistol. This was found during a search in Uttar Pradesh’s Mainpuri. The video is making rounds on social media with the claim that her name is Salma Baig and she belongs to the Muslim community.
Many people shared this video claiming the ‘teacher’ to be Muslim.
AltNews after doing fact checking found that the woman’s name is Karishma Yadav and her deceased father’s name is Puran Singh Yadav. Karishma told media that she carries the firearm for her safety since her family members want to kill her and grab her land.
It was found that the woman hails from the Hindu community.
AltNews observed that the video was shared with a false anti-Muslim spin.
