Farmer Commits Suicide in Banswada

The incident took place in Hanmjipeta village of Banswada mandal. The wife of Shankar, Laxmi said that her husband had committed suicide as he was not able to bear the burden of debts.

Hyderabad: A farmer by name Sankar committed suicide by consuming pesticide at his paddy harvest pile.

The incident took place in Hanmjipeta village of Banswada mandal. The wife of Shankar, Laxmi said that her husband had committed suicide as he was not able to bear the burden of debts.

Sankar is a marginal farmer. He took ₹15 lakh loans for the treatment of his daughter. He sold off his two acres of land to repay his loans.

However, he could not clear his total debts. The police registered a case in the incident and are investigating the matter.
