Floods: NDRF team rescues seven mining workers at Godavarikhani

The coal mine workers, who went to the company’s intake well located in the Godavari river on Wednesday, got stuck as flood water surrendered the intake-well.

Hyderabad: NDRF team have rescued seven Singareni coal mine workers who were stranded in Godavari river flooded water near Godavarikhani in Telangana on Thursday.

The boats failed to reach the intake-well due to heavy flow in the river.

Ramagundam MLA Kurukanti Chander, who informed the incident to Welfare Minister Koppula Eashwer to send an NDRF team to save the workers.

NDRF chief Rahul Bojja, who responded immediately, deployed an NDRF team and rescued stranded Singareni workers.
