GMR Hyderabad International Airport announces expansion of domestic routes

Starting from today, travellers can look forward to convenient and exciting new flights to Amritsar, Lucknow and Kochi, the airport said in a release here.

Hyderabad: Taking air connectivity to the next level, GMR Hyderabad International Airport on Friday announced the expansion of its domestic routes in association with Air India Express by introducing four new flights.

Starting from today, travellers can look forward to convenient and exciting new flights to Amritsar, Lucknow and Kochi, the airport said in a release here.

The flights on these new routes will be operated with Air India Express’ latest Boeing 737-800 aircraft, featuring a striking new livery and an impressive tail design.

This new design reflects the dedication to offering passengers a fresh and modern travel experience, along with the latest amenities and comforts during their journey.

With the addition of these exciting new flights, Air India Express will provide 19 domestic departures from GMR Hyderabad International Airport, significantly strengthening our network and giving passengers increased travel options.

Air India Express flight to Kochi IX 955 will depart daily at 19:45 hours from GMR Hyderabad Airport and arrive in Kochi at 21.30 hours.

Starting November 28, Air India Express flight to Gwalior IX 953 will depart thrice at 14:30 hours from Hyderabad and arrive in Gwalior at 16:20 hours.

Sharing his excitement about the expansion, Mr. Pradeep Panicker, CEO GMR Hyderabad International Airport Limited expressed- “These new routes not only offer greater connectivity but also feature new aircrafts.

In addition to these domestic routes, Air India Express will continue to operate one international departure, ensuring global connectivity for the passengers.

GMR Hyderabad International Airport will now offer a total of 47 weekly departures to Cochin, 20 weekly departures to Lucknow, and 6 weekly departures to Amritsar. This expansion underscores our commitment to provide passengers with a wide range of choices for their travel needs.
