Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Commissioner’s Task Force (H-FAST) conducted a special food safety enforcement drive across Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy districts on July 17, 2026, raiding six food business establishments and apprehending six persons for alleged food safety violations. The accused were handed over to the respective Food Safety Officers for further action under the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006, and other applicable laws. During the operation, reused cooking oil, artificial food colours and other unsafe food articles were seized, while food samples were collected for laboratory analysis.

H-FAST Conducts Special Drive Against Food Safety Violations
According to a press note issued by the Hyderabad City Police Commissioner’s Task Force (H-FAST) on July 19, 2026, the Hyderabad Food Adulteration Surveillance Team (H-FAST) carried out intensive raids on July 17, 2026, to curb food adulteration, enforce food safety regulations and safeguard public health.
The special enforcement drive was conducted jointly with the Food Safety Officers of GHMC at various food business establishments located across Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy districts.
During the operation, six persons were apprehended and handed over to the respective Food Safety Officers for initiating action under the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006, and other applicable laws.
Food Establishments Raided During the H-FAST Drive
The following six establishments were inspected during the special drive:
- M/s. KOP Apro Tech Limited (Edible Oil & Basmati Rice Repacking Unit), Bahadurpura.
- M/s. Snazzy Ice Cream (Ice Cream Manufacturing Unit), Kishan Bagh.
- M/s. Veerabhadra Enterprises (Murukulu Manufacturing Unit), Mylargadda, Secunderabad.
- M/s. Twin Cities Enterprises (Murukulu Manufacturing Unit), Mylargadda, Secunderabad.
- M/s. SS Bakery (Bakery Manufacturing Unit), Malkajguda.
- M/s. M.M. Kirana & Dry Fruits Stores, Begum Bazar.

Common Food Safety Violations Found During Hyderabad H-FAST Raids
Officials reported the following violations during inspections:
- Food prepared and stored under unhygienic conditions.
- Use of reused cooking oil and artificial food colours.
- Sale of expired and misbranded food products.
- Absence or non-display of a valid FSSAI Licence.
- Improper labelling of food products.
- Lack of pest control, water analysis, food testing and health records.
- Improper storage of food articles.
- Non-use of hairnets, gloves and other protective gear by food handlers.
- Pest, cockroach and pigeon infestation.
- Poor sanitation and housekeeping.

- Check manufacturing and expiry dates.
- Ensure proper product labelling before purchasing food items.
