Heavy rain forecast for Telangana, low pressure looms
Light to moderate rain or thundershowers is likely to occur at many places over the state during the next five days.
Hyderabad: The MeT has forecast heavy rain at isolated places across several districts of Telangana for the next 24 hours.
The Meteorological Centre here said on Friday heavy showers will occur in in Nirmal, Nizamabad, Suryapet, Mahabubabad, Warangal (Urban),Janagaon, Siddipet, Yadadri Bhuvangiri, and Kamareddy districts.
Light to moderate rain or thundershowers is likely to occur at many places over the state during the next five days.
Southwest Monsoon has been normal over Telangana during the last 24 hours. Rain occurred at many places over the state during the same period.
The highest maximum rainfall was recorded at Chennur, in Mancherial district, next Kaleshwaram in Jogulamba Bhupalpally district; followed by Tamsi in Adilabad District, Kerameri in Komaram Bheem District, Jainoor in Kumaram Bheem district, Talamadugu in Adilabad district and Parkal in Warangal district, the bulletin added.
In a special bulletin, the MeT said the Low Pressure Area over north Odisha & neighbourhood now lies over coastal Odisha & neighbourhood with the associated cyclonic circulation and extends upto 7.6 km above mean sea level.
The east-west shear zone roughly along 19°N between 3.1 km & 7.6 km above mean sea level across North Peninsular India has become less marked, the bulletin added.
