Heavy rain very likely to occur in Telangana in next 24 hours: Met

In a daily weather report here, It said light to moderate rain or thundershowers very likely to occur at many places and few places in the state from July 28 to August 2.

Hyderabad: Heavy Rain very likely to occur at isolated places in Adilabad, Komaram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Nirmal, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Mulugu and Bhadradri Kothagudem districts of Telangana during the next 24 hours, Meteorological Centre said on Friday.

In a daily weather report here, It said light to moderate rain or thundershowers very likely to occur at many places and few places in the state from July 28 to August 2.

Southwest monsoon has been vigorous in Telangana.

Exceptionally heavy rainfall occurred at isolated places in Nizamabad and Nirmal districts in the state in the last 24 hours.

Very heavy rainfall occurred at a few places in Jagtial, Nizamabad and Nirmal, at isolated places in Rajanna Sircilla districts in Telangana.

Heavy rainfall occurred at many places in Rajanna Sircilla, at a few places in Nizamabad, Kamareddy and Nirmal and at isolated places in Jagtial and Adilabad districts in the state during the same period.

Rain occurred at most places in Telangana.

Khanpur in Nirmal district recorded a extremely heavy rainfall of 27 cm, Navipet in Nizamabad district 25 cm, and Kathlapur in Jagtial district recorded a very heavy rainfall of 18 cm, the report added.
