Hinted of increase in bus charges in coming days: TSRTC Chairman
He also made it clear that the recent increase in charges is only a Cess charges, on this there is no role of the State government.
Hyderabad: Keeping in view that the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) is incurring the losses of Rs. 6 crore every day and also on the plan to purchase the new buses, the TSRTC Chairman, Baji Reddy Goverdhan has hinted that the bus charges in the coming days will be increased.
He also made it clear that the recent increase in charges is only a Cess charges, on this there is no role of the State government, he said that it is not the RTC charges it is only a Cess charges, he said Toll plaza money is being paid by the TSRTC because of this yearly Rs. 70 crore to Rs. 100 crores the TSRTC is facing losses. To bring the TSRTC into profit, it is necessary to increase the bus charges, he said.
The Chairman along with the Managing Director of TSRTC VC Sajjanar has flagged special mini buses from Uppal Bus stand, speaking on this occasion; Sajjanar said 100 buses are made available to yadadrigutta.
He informed that buses are available from every district of the state to Yadadrigutta. He also said that buses are available from the JBS bus stand.
He also informed that minibuses are available from every district center to the Uppal bus stand. He further informed that the fare between JBS to Yadadrigutta will be Rs. 100 whereas from Uppal to Yadadrigutta will be Rs. 75.
No force on VRS
Sajjanar said that the TSRTC employees are coming forward on their own for the voluntary retirement seeing the package scheme, the TSRTC is not forcing anyone to take the voluntary retirement. He said so far about 2000 employees applied for the voluntary retirement, as soon as the clarity comes after the voluntary retirement process completed, the vacant vacancies will be filled.
