Hyderabad: In a horrific road accident, a woman riding a two-wheeler was killed on the spot in Medchal, near Hyderabad. While crossing a gap in the median at a junction, she came under the wheels of a truck. The incident occurred on the morning of Thursday, September 29.
The video was shared by VC Sajjanar, IPS stating “No Short cuts to Safety. Pls follow traffic Rules- Save your life”
The accident was recorded on a CCTV camera. The footage shows the woman, 35-year-old Priya, crossing the main road from the opposite side and cutting across the opening in the median. As she reaches the middle of the road, the truck swerves to the left to avoid hitting her but in vain. The woman died on the spot.
The accident took place around 6 am on Thursday at the Vivekananda junction in Medchal. Priya worked as a security guard. She was on her way to work when the mishap occurred.
