Hyderabad: BRS leader Motkupalli stages ‘Deeksha’ against illegal arrest of Chandrababu Naidu
He warned that if Chandrababu is subjected to harassment, Jagan might face political consequences. Motkupalli predicted that the YSR Congress Party, which secured 151 seats in the last assembly election, might struggle to win even four seats in the upcoming election.
Hyderabad: BRS leader and former Minister Motkupalli Narasimhulu staged a one-day ‘Deeksha’ at NTR Ghat in Necklace Road here on Sunday, in protest against the illegal arrest of former Chief Minister and TDP National President N Chandrababu Naidu in connection with the multi-crore skill development corporation scam.
Addressing the gathering, Narasimhulu admitted that he made a mistake in 2019 by urging people to support Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, and said he is regretting for this now.
The BRS leader criticised the arrest of Chandrababu without the AP Governor’s permission and reminded Jagan that the position of Chief Minister is not permanent.
He warned that if Chandrababu is subjected to harassment, Jagan might face political consequences.
Motkupalli predicted that the YSR Congress Party, which secured 151 seats in the last assembly election, might struggle to win even four seats in the upcoming election.
The former Minister said he would visit Rajahmundry soon and hold discussions with Chandrababu Naidu’s family members.
The ‘Deeksha’, which he commenced at 1000 hours this morning will end at 1700 hours.
