Hyderabad emerging as a leading destination for major biotech & life sciences companies

Hyderabad has emerged as a leading destination for major biotech and life sciences companies worldwide, transitioning from being a pharmaceutical and IT hub to excelling in new-age fields.

More than 12 prominent companies from Bengaluru, Mumbai, Pune, Chennai, and Ahmedabad are now looking to expand their presence in Hyderabad. For instance, Syngene International Ltd, based in Bengaluru, set up its first operational research center outside Bengaluru in Hyderabad’s Genome Valley with an investment of Rs 167 crore.

Since 2015, the life sciences sector alone has seen investments of over Rs 20,000 crore in Telangana, thanks to a proactive government, favorable industrial policies, and robust infrastructure facilities in the region.
