The Police Towers, a green building constructed at a cost of Rs.600 crore is yet another iconic landmark of the city.
ICCC is a 6.42 lakh square feet structure which has five towers with 20 storeys. Various units of the police will work under a single roof. Tower-A will house the Hyderabad City Police Commissionerate and Tower-B will be the Technology Fusion Tower, Tower-C will house an auditorium, Tower-D will have a media and training centre and Tower-E will have the Command Control and Data Centre for multi-department coordination. Telangana Today reported.
Having a helipad, a landing area or platform for helicopters, and powered lift aircraft for emergency operations, ICCC will also act as a Disaster and Crisis Management Centre housing all related government departments. The centre has access to about 9.22 lakh cameras installed across the State. Around one lakh cameras can be checked and monitored at any point in time.
A war room designed to house technology teams working in back-end operations to support field policing is also part of the building. It also houses a museum showcasing the history of Telangana Police and a 360-degree viewing gallery. The building also has a yoga center, gym, and wellness center.
With no wooden furniture in the swanky new building, only recycled material has been used to design the furniture.
