Hyderabad: Khwaja Moinuddin of Nawab’s Kitchen quits his job to feed orphans
The food prepared on the channel is distributed to children in orphanages, slums and labour communities.
Hyderabad: Khaja Moinuddin cooks mouth-watering dishes on his YouTube channel Nawab’s Kitchen. Just before cooking the dishes in an open field, he introduces himself thus, “Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi Barakatuh. Mai aapka Khwaja Moinuddin (Peace be upon you and God’s mercy and blessings. I am your Khwaja Moinuddin).”
Nawab’s Kitchen is a platform that supports a social cause – feeding orphan children, homeless people and the needy. The food prepared on the channel is distributed to children in orphanages, slums and labour communities.
Friends Foundation, Shunem Orphanage, Child Haven Orphanage, Amma Old Age Home, slum areas of Gachibowli, Labour Adda Narsinghi, Ameena Madarsa are Some of the places where Nawab’s Kitchen serves food.
During the last five years, the channel has fed thousands of children. The cookery channel was started by three friends Khwaja Moinuddin, Srinaath Reddy and Bhagat Reddy.
Born in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, Moinuddin was brought up in Warangal, Telangana. He later worked in the media industry in Hyderabad for 12 years. The he launched YouTube channel along with Srinaath and Bhagat in September 2017.
Moinuddin’s wife, Nahida Begum, was more than happy to support Nawab’s Kitchen thinking isse barkat hogi (it will bless us).
Claiming that the videos were affecting his efficiency at work, his employers asked him to make a choice between channel and job. So he quit job on November 11, 2017 to continue with Nawab’s Kitchen.
Moinuddin revealed that he learnt cooking by observing his Ammi and Nani.
Nawab’s Kitchen feeds children two to three times a week. Times Now Reported.
The YouTube channel has garnered over 2.57 million subscribers and 309 million views in five years.
Moinuddin has a dream; he wishes to build a school for tribal children.
