Hyderabad: Asaduddin Owaisi, President of the Parliament and member of Hyderabad, has alleged that approximately a dozen Indian citizens, including two youths from Telangana, have been deceived by agents who offered them employment but instead sent them to join the war in Ukraine.

He claims that visa agents proposed working as security agents in Russia, but now they are being forced to participate in the war in Ukraine.

Asaduddin Owaisi has written a letter to the Foreign Minister, S. Jaishankar, requesting intervention to bring back these three Hyderabadis from Russia. He alleges that these individuals were deceived by job agents and sent to Russia, where a war is ongoing.

Addressing a press conference at the Parliament House, he claimed that nine Indians were sent to Russia, where they received basic weapons training and were forced to participate in the battlefield.

They were deceived into working cooperatively for the military and were sent to Mariupol, Kharkiv, and Donetsk to fight.

Mr. Owaisi stated that unemployed youths from Telangana, Gujarat, Karnataka, Jammu and Kashmir, and Uttar Pradesh were promised jobs by agents, who then deceived them into serving as security agents but ultimately sent them to the battlefield.

He said he met with the families of these individuals in December last year, who sought his assistance. He has written to the Foreign Minister and the Indian Ambassador to Russia to repatriate them.

He also alleged that Faisal Khan, who runs a YouTube channel under the name “Baba Vlogs,” deceived these Indian youths.

During this period, the Ministry of External Affairs has not yet responded to the matter.

Mr. Owaisi further revealed that the affected youths made videos and disclosed their ordeal. They were coerced into going to the warzone and faced gunfire. One of their companions has already been killed in the conflict.

In a letter to Foreign Minister Jaishankar, a parliamentary MP said that Mohammad Asfan, Arbab Hussain, and Zahoor Ahmed are trying to get assistance for their return to Hyderabad.

It is evident that the war between Russia and Ukraine has been ongoing for the past two years, resulting in the deaths of three lakh people so far.
