KCR pays glorious tribute to Mahatma Gandhi on his 153rd birth anniversary
Chief Minister's office said in tweets that KCR recalled that the Telangana State was achieved through a peaceful movement taking inspiration from Gandhi ji's methods of protest and philosophy.
Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Sunday paid glorious tributes to Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi on his 153rd birth anniversary and said Gandhi Ji taught people about the democratic method of first praying and pleading and then protesting and fighting to attain freedom for the country.
Chief Minister’s office said in tweets that KCR recalled that the Telangana State was achieved through a peaceful movement taking inspiration from Gandhi ji’s methods of protest and philosophy.
The Chief Minister said that Mahatma Gandhi’s belief and practice in ‘Satyameva Jayate’ will inspire the present and future generations.
Mahatma Gandhi showed a new struggle to the world by practicing the principles of non-violence and satyagraha against the British colonial rule during the fight for independent India. Many countries which adhered to Gandhian principles were liberated from slavery, he said.
Rao said that the life of ‘Father of the Nation’ #MahatmaGandhi who ignited people of the country to strive towards the achievement of the goal during the freedom movement, is a role model for all times.
