KTR announces Rs 5 lakh compensation for families of deceased in Nampally fire tragedy
The tragic incident claimed the lives of nine people, including two women, with several others falling ill, eight of them unconscious.
Hyderabad: Telangana Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister K T Rama Rao (KTR) announced on Monday a compensation of Rs 5 lakh for the next of kin of the victims of the Bazaarbhat fire accident in Nampally.
The tragic incident claimed the lives of nine people, including two women, with several others falling ill, eight of them unconscious.
KTR, accompanied by Animal Husbandry Minister Srinivas Yadav, visited the site of the fire accident to inquire about the incident and extended condolences to the bereaved family members.
Speaking to the media later, KTR declared the compensation of Rs 5 lakh on behalf of the state government. He also assured that those who fell ill in the fire accident would receive enhanced medical treatment at Osmania Hospital.
