KTR demands Congress to withdraw its proposal of Muslim census

BRS working president and Minister KT Rama Rao lashed out at the Congress party for its proposal of conducting Muslim census and demanded that the proposal should be withdrawn immediately.

Hyderabad: BRS working president and Minister KT Rama Rao lashed out at the Congress party for its proposal of conducting Muslim census and demanded that the proposal should be withdrawn immediately.

Addressing the media at Telangana Bhavan here on Friday, KT Rama Rao said that the census was not required for minorities, and it would not make any sense to include minorities in the BC census.

He criticized the Telangana Congress unit on the release of Minority declaration and said that the Congress party was playing games for votes in a peaceful State of Telangana.

“The Congress party is releasing declarations for BCs and Minorities only aimed at winning the elections. In fact, it doesn’t have any real intention to do justice for these sections. Moreover, Congress is hatching a conspiracy to create fight between BCs and minorities in Telangana,” KTR said.

Stating that the minorities have special rights in the Constitution, he alleged that the Congress party is trying to rob the rights of minorities in the name of declaration.

The Minister said that the Congress party had made similar false promises to minorities in the past but it was rejected in the election. Now, in the name of Minority declaration, the Congress party is trying to deceive the community once again and the people should be cautious at the cheap tactics of Congress, KTR added.
