Milestone Achievement in Kerala: Sevabharathi Donates 1000 Houses to the Homeless
"The house donated in Vechuchira was the 72th of the Viswa Sevabharathi, and nearly 800 houses were already donated by various branches of Sevabharathi across the state, and this year's aim is to attain a target of 1,000 houses," the RSS leader clarified.
Thiruvananthapuram: Sevabharathi has set a new record by donating nearly 1,000 houses to many poor families under its flagship initiative ‘Shelter to Rest One’s Head’ (Talachaikkanoridam) project aimed at better housing for homeless in Kerala.
In continuation of its initiative, RSS Kerala Prant Seva Pramukh M.C Valsan handed over the key to a newly constructed house to Anitha Kailattil of Vechuchira Grama Panchayat in Pathanamthitta on December 29.
The house was constructed by the Vechuchira unit of Deseeya Seva Bharati with the financial support of Viswa Sevabharathi, headquartered at Elamakkara in Ernakulam district.
“The house donated in Vechuchira was the 72th of the Viswa Sevabharathi, and nearly 800 houses were already donated by various branches of Sevabharathi across the state, and this year’s aim is to attain a target of 1,000 houses,” the RSS leader clarified.
“Having a home is a dream for many. Having a shelter to rest one’s head continues to be a concern for several poor families. Hence, Sevabharathi came up with a solution to address these concerns of homeless Keralites.”
“Recognising the need of the homeless, we work tirelessly to realize the needs of those in need through careful assessment, ensuring that eligible beneficiaries receive the support they need.”
“Our primary objective is to provide humanitarian assistance and support social development initiatives by implementing community welfare programs.”
The event held on Saturday was chaired by RSS Ranni (Khand) Sanghchalak KV Narayanan, and attended by Pathanamthitta Sevabharathi President Advocate D.
