Motkupally Joins TRS; KCR Announces BCs, Poor to get Dalit-Bandhu like Scheme
Unlike other political parties, politics is not just a Sport and it is a Task for the TRS to go ahead like a Yagna to ensure welfare of people in a phased manner, said KCR.
Hyderabad: Telangana Rasthra Samithi (TRS) president and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today said that former Minister and a noted Dalit leader Motkupally Narsimulu would have a better future as he joined the TRS fold. KCR welcomed Narsimulu into the TRS fold at Telangana Bhavan here with a pink shawl.
Unlike other political parties, politics is not just a Sport and it is a Task for the TRS to go ahead like a Yagna to ensure welfare of people in a phased manner, he declared.
Appreciating Narsimulu for being the voice of the downtrodden, KCR said that the former minister is his close friend and worked as a minister for the power sector and was aware of all problems and issues. โI and Narsimulu will work for Dalit Bandhu and need support of people and leaders, KCR said. Narsimulu did not join the TRS for politics and for its agenda for welfare of various sections, he said.
KCR announced that Dalit Bandhu, which was delayed by a year due to Corona pandemic, will not stop and similar programs will be extended to BCs and other backward classes on getting more wealth in future, he declared. KCR explained how they faced problems in the combined state which destroyed the region and after statehood made efforts to tide over issues.
This scheme as a social responsibility would be continued for Dalits empowerment. It will have no politics, recommendations and all Dalits will get the benefits he said appealed to people supporting it.
The scheme will have Dalit Bandhu committees at villages, mandals, districts and state level for effective coordination. The Government will set up Rs 4000 cr Dalit protection fund by adding Rs 10000 for each and beneficiary who will contribute same amount.
We are ready to spend a staggering Rs 1.70 lakh cr investment for the Dalits empowerment with plan, courage and commitment to implement the scheme. In 7 years Telangana sees Rs 23 lakh crores transactions and Rs 1.70 lakh cr for Dalits empowerment is meager, he says. This amount of Dalit Bandhu will in future will increase to a whopping Rs 10 lakh crores which is a spin of economy, he maintained.
When I asked beneficiaries of Dalit Bandhu in Vasalamarri a person said that they are working for a construction and would give work to two more persons on getting Rs 10 lakh from the scheme. I am happy to see this development as Dalit Bandhu will push them on growth path and we have to surpass the obstacles and win in future, KCR said.
During the statehood movement I met BSP Supremo Mayavathi 19 times who supported our fight on getting convinced of injustice meted out to our region. I also met with several other leaders to garner their support for the cause for Telangana, he said.
We have to work more for the cause of poor and needy classes as the TRS government addressed related issues of water, power, suicides by farmers and weavers and others. Having faced a lot of problems during statehood and in achieving the state, we were able to move on the right path for development and welfare. The Government will continue welfare programs for the needy sections as we have to do more work, KCR said. Dalit Bandhu will not be stopped and continued and other sections in the society would get such benefits, he said.
We rebuilt Yadadri Narsimha Swamy temple on the lines of TTD as a world class destination he said, adding that Motkupally has the same name. He clarified that despite political parties coming in the way and making false charges the commitment and plan will go hand in hand for welfare of the poor. With same commitment of statehood we will continue Dalit Bandhu and implement similar schemes for other sections.
He said that 100 persons in each segment will get Dalit Bandhu help and enable the SCs to take up different works with local leaders and officials.
We addressed issues of farmers, weavers and the poor through various schemes and have to do more, he said. The government has also revived lakes and water bodies in villages as people who migrated are returning. We expanded greenery for rains and helped the poor with pensions and welfare programs as well, he informed. To take on private hospitals which used to loot women and family members during delivery, we offer Rs 12000 to Rs 13000 for institutional delivery through KCR Kits. To avoid corruption and bribes we launched Dharani, a great platform to avoid middlemen intervention, bribing and ensuring hassle free registration of lands. KCR said that the government spent Rs 11000 cr for Yadavas who got sheep and flourished with its benefits.
