On Thursday, BRS president and Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister KT Rama Rao had a close call when he narrowly avoided a fall from the roof of an open-top campaign vehicle while campaigning in Armoor city, Nizamabad district, Telangana.
A video of the incident has since gone viral on social media, showing KTR atop a tempo traveler when the driver abruptly applied brakes. As KTR and other leaders leaned on the railing, it gave way, causing them to lose balance and fall.
Fortunately, alert gunmen prevented KTR from falling, while others tumbled down the vehicle.
Later that day, KTR officially filed his nomination from the Sircilla Assembly Constituency, a BRS stronghold. The seat is expected to witness a triangular contest between KTR, Congress’ Kondam Karuna Mahender Reddy, and Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) Mallugari Narsa Goud.
