New Leadership Takes the Helm at the Gymnastics Association of Telangana

Hyderabad: The Gymnastics Association of Telangana (GAT) held its elections and Annual General Body Meeting on September 10, 2023, at the Sri Krishna Devaraya Telugu Bhasha Nilayam in Sultan Bazar, Hyderabad.
The successful conclusion of the elections ushered in a fresh wave of leadership, with a blend of experience and youthful vigor.
In a noteworthy electoral process, the following office bearers were elected to lead GAT for the four-year term from 2023 to 2027:
- G. Satyanarayana – President
- M. Ravinder – Vice President
- K. Maheshwar – General Secretary
- K. Vijaypal Reddy and Priyanka Sagar – Joint Secretaries
- B. Ashok Kumar – Treasurer
- Alica Joe, Pravalika, and Sai Kumar – Executive Body Members
This newly formed board represents a diverse group, with a mix of senior gymnasts and fresh talents. Notably, this election marked a significant milestone with approximately 33% of the elected candidates being female, signifying a progressive step towards gender inclusivity in gymnastics leadership.
