Parag Desai, a prominent executive at Wagh Bakri Tea Group, tragically passed away at the age of 49 on Sunday. He succumbed to a brain haemorrhage resulting from injuries sustained while trying to fend off stray dogs on October 15. The incident was reported by Ahmedabad Mirror. The security guard at his residence promptly alerted his family, who rushed him to Shelby Hospital. Following a day of observation, he was moved to Zydus Hospital for a surgical procedure, but, sadly, he did not recover.

Gujarat Congress chief and Rajya Sabha member Shaktisinh Gohil expressed his condolences in a social media post, lamenting the loss of Parag Desai, the Director and owner of Wagh Bakri Tea. He described the tragic event as a consequence of a brain haemorrhage resulting from a fall. Gohil extended his sympathies to the entire Wagh Bakri family across India.

Parag Desai was the son of Rasesh Desai, the Managing Director of the Wagh Bakri Tea Group. He leaves behind his wife Vidisha and daughter Parisha. With a wealth of over 30 years in entrepreneurship, Desai led the charge in International Business, Sales, and Marketing within the Group. He actively contributed to prominent industry platforms such as the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and was highly regarded as a voice of authority within the industry, as noted by Exchange4Media.
