PM Modi arrives in Hyderabad
Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived at Hakimpet Air Force station here by a special flight on Saturday to lay foundation stone for several infrastructure development projects in Telangana worth around Rs. 6,100 crore.

The PM left for Warangal by Mi-17 helicopter and will reach the city at 10.15 AM.
Modi will be received by Telangana Governor Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan, Union Minister G Kishan Reddy at the helipad in Warangal.
The ruling BRS has decided to boycott the PM’s programme in protest against the latter’s ‘anti-Telangana’ attitude.
The PM will have a darshan and perform Puja at Bhadrakali temple here.
He will later attend a public programme where he will lay the foundation stone of various projects at Arts & Science College Ground in Hanamkonda.
Modi will lay the foundation stone for 176 km long National Highway projects worth over Rs. 5,550 crore. The projects include 108 km long Mancherial – Warangal section of Nagpur-Vijayawada Corridor. The section will reduce distance between Mancherial and Warangal by around 34 km, thus reducing travel time and decongesting traffic on NH-44 and NH-65.
He will also lay foundation stone for upgradation of the 68 km long Karimnagar – Warangal section of NH-563 from existing two lane to a four-lane configuration.
This will help in improving connectivity to Hyderabad-Warangal Industrial Corridor, Kakatiya Mega Textile Park and SEZ at Warangal.
The Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone of the Railway Manufacturing Unit in Kazipet. To be developed at a cost of over Rs. 500 crore, the modern manufacturing unit will have enhanced Rolling Stock manufacturing capacity.
It will be equipped with latest technology standards and facilities such as Robotic Painting of Wagons, State-of-the-art Machinery and Plant with modern material storage and handling.
The Unit will help in local employment generation and development of ancillary units in nearby areas.
Modi will address a public meeting at Hanamkonda at 11.45 AM.
The historic city of Warangal turned into a virtual fortress in view of Modi’s visit to the city on Saturday.
Police threw a multi-layered security blanket in the tri-cities of Warangal, Hanamkonda and Kazipet by deploying more than 3,587 police personnel for bandobust duty in coordination with the elite Special Protection Group (SPG).
The Prime Minister will leave for Rajasthan in the same flight from Hakimpet Air Force Station after returning from Warangal in the afternoon.
