Hyderabad: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has asserted that the people of Telangana are eager for change in the state.
During an election campaign meeting titled “Sakala Janula Vijaya Sankalpa Sabha” held in Kamareddy on Saturday, Modi stated that the people of Telangana have voiced their dissatisfaction with the BRS government and are aspiring for a transformation in the state.
Even the Congress, which held power for seven decades, failed to address the concerns of the people, he added.
Modi highlighted the prevailing wave of support for the BJP in the state and called on everyone to work hard for the collective well-being.
“People know the track record of BJP’s national politics,” said Modi, emphasizing the party’s commitment to fulfilling promises, such as the abrogation of Article 370, the resolution of triple talaq, 30 per cent women reservation, remunerative prices for farmers, One Rank One Pension in defense, and the construction of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.
He assured that the promises made in the Telangana BJP manifesto, including the establishment of a Turmeric Board, have been fulfilled.
PM Modi pledged to prioritize the welfare of farmers, announcing the purchase of 20 lakh metric tonnes of grain in Kharif, benefiting Telangana’s farmers significantly.
He expressed concern for the thousands of youths seeking employment and criticized the BRS government for alleged irregularities leading to unemployment and suicides.
Modi urged voters in Kamareddy to teach a lesson to the BRS candidate CM KCR and Telangana Congress President A Revanth Reddy, emphasizing their family and corrupt rule.
Highlighting the unity between BRS and Congress, PM Modi called for the people’s verdict on December 3, suggesting that the outcome would signal the rejection of KCR.
He acknowledged the support of the people, noting that with their blessings, the BJP has 300 MPs. Modi asserted the party’s commitment to working for the future of the people’s children.
Questioning K Chandrasekhar Rao’s promise to appoint a Dalit as the Chief Minister of Telangana, PM Modi affirmed the BJP’s commitment to social justice.
