SHE shuttle service launched in Hyderabad IT corridor

Hyderabad: The 18th SHE shuttle bus, a dedicated transport service for working women in the Hyderabad IT corridor, was inaugurated by Additional CP Avinash Mohanty on Wednesday.

This SHE shuttle will run from Balanagar Junction to Avineon India Pvt Ltd premises via Kukatpally Y-Junction, serving various IT and ITES organizations and IT parks on its route.

Avineon India is sponsoring this bus for three years as part of its CSR initiative, focused on women’s empowerment.

Cyberabad police officials mention that currently, women traveling from Balanagar to Raheja Mindspace need to change two buses or use other public transport options like shared autos or private autos.

The new SHE shuttle, sponsored by Avineon India, aims to provide last-mile connectivity for women from Balanagar/Kukatpally localities.

Ramesh Kaza, secretary-general of SCSC, highlights the growth of the SHE shuttle service, which began with two shuttles in 2015, supported by TSIIC/Telangana government, and has now expanded to 18 shuttles with this recent initiative.
