Special Training Programmes to Roll out Vaccines for Children in Telangana
Director of Public Health said that two vaccines from Zydus Cadila and Bharat Biotech will be available for the children between the age of 2 years and 18 years in another two to three weeks.
Hyderabad: The Director of Public Health Dr. G. Srinivasa Rao said that the Medical, Health and Family Welfare department will be conducting the special training programmes to roll out the coronavirus vaccine for children.
Interacting with the press persons, the Director of Public Health said that two vaccines from Zydus Cadila and Bharat Biotech will be available for the children between the age of 2 years and 18 years in another two to three weeks.
He said that under the guidance of the Union Ministry of Health and Welfare extensive ground work is underway in Telangana to start vaccinating children as and when the vaccines are made available.
He said there are nearly one crore children aged between two years and 18 years who have to get vaccinated in Telangana. The process of administration of vaccines to children and adolescents will be different from the existing one.
Detailed guidelines on the protocols to administer the vaccines for children will be released by the Union Ministry of Medical, Health and Family welfare, he said.
