Stern action against those responsible for MGM incident: Minister

It may be noted here that the rats had bitten fingers of a patient’s hand and leg in the Intensive care Unit of MGM hospital on Thursday.

Hanumakonda: Telangana Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao on Friday said that stern action will be taken against those responsible for the incident in MGM Hospital in Warangal.

It may be noted here that the rats had bitten fingers of a patient’s hand and leg in the Intensive care Unit of MGM hospital on Thursday.

As District Minister, Rao along with Medical Education Director Dr Ramesh Reddy inspected the MGM Hospital and said that the incident happened due to irresponsibility and ordered an enquiry into the incident.

Assuring to improve the hospital cleanliness, Minister said that as per the report of the District Collector, the Hospital Superintendent was transferred and two doctors were suspended.

He also assured the family members of patient Srinivas that he would be shifted to NIMS hospital in Hyderabad for better treatment.
