Syed Azmatullah Hussaini elected as Chairman of Telangana Waqf Board
Last week, as part of the formation of the new Waqf Board, the Department of Minority Welfare issued a notification, appointing senior Congress leader Syed Azmatullah Hussaini as a member of the Telangana Waqf Board.
Hyderabad: Syed Azmatullah Hussaini has been elected as the Chairman of the Telangana Waqf Board.

Today, in the board meeting, all members unanimously elected Syed Azmatullah Hussaini as the Chairman of the Telangana Waqf Board.
Azmatullah Hussaini is counted among the senior leaders of the Congress. He began his political journey with the Congress student organization, NSUI.
He has served as the state president of NSUI in Andhra Pradesh and has also held several important positions in the Youth Congress. He has also been successful in winning several positions in the Telangana PCC.
