Telangana govt permits Muslim employees to leave early during Ramzan

In a circular, Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar on Friday said that the Muslims employees should leave office at 1600 hours from April 3 to May 2.

Hyderabad: Telangana government has permitted the Muslim employees to leave their offices one hour ahead daily, from April 3 to May 2, during the holy month of Ramzan.

The Service/Contract/ Out-sourcing Boards Public Sector employees and also those working in Schools in the State should leave their Offices/Schools at 1600 hours during the Holy Month of “Ramzan” to perform necessary rituals.

In a circular, Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar on Friday said that the Muslims employees should leave office at 1600 hours from April 3 to May 2 except when their presence is required due to exigencies of services during the above period.
