After inspecting the Hussainsagar Lake water level and its surrounding areas, along with Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) Commissioner Ronald Rose, the Minister urged all departments to remain alert in light of the anticipated continuous rainfall.

He also advised the city’s residents to promptly contact the control room at 040-2111 1111 in case of any emergencies, assuring that the authorities would promptly address the situations.

The Minister expressed concerns about encroachments in the nalas (drainage channels) and assured that necessary actions would be taken to tackle the encroachments promptly.

In the meantime, the water level in Hussainsagar Lake has reached its maximum capacity, recording 513.62 meters out of 514.73 meters, due to the inflow of water from upstream. Consequently, officials have released water by opening lakhs of gates.
